Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled developer with strong experience in Visual Basic 6 (VB6) and hands-on expertise in the latest .NET framework (e.g., .NET 6/7/8). The ideal candidate will be involved in maintaining legacy VB6 applications and leading modernization efforts to .NET, ensuring smooth transition and system stability.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and enhance existing VB6 applications
Participate in the migration of VB6 codebase to .NET (WinForms, WPF, or ASP.NET Core)
Design, develop, and deploy new features using .NET (C#) framework
Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, PM)
Troubleshoot and debug application issues
Requirements:
3–5 years of hands-on experience with VB6
2+ years of experience in .NET Core / .NET 6+ (C# preferred)
Familiarity with WinForms, WPF, or ASP.NET Core
Experience with SQL Server or other RDBMS
Knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
Ability to understand and reverse-engineer legacy code
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
